Andrew Bradshaw whilst a Director at WYG was appointed by Homes England to prepare and submit an outline planning application for a residential development of 250 homes on farmland located off D' Urton Lane, Preston.
The appointment followed an initial planning and technical due diligence exercise to establish the planning and development parameters for the land in consultation with Preston Council and Homes England.
The ecology surveys undertaken of the site identified the presence of Great Crested Newts in a number of existing ponds on the site resulting in the need for Homes England to acquire additional land to mitigate against the loss of one of the ponds on the site and to maximise the efficient use of the land.
Following extensive consultation with the local community and stakeholders outline planning permission was granted and the site was sold to Laurus Homes who secured reserved matters planning approval and have now completed the development.
